Ambassader writing application!

Learn!
This year i was learning about the Titanic. All of our Year Five and sixes did this and lots of other things aswell. Our class read books watched movies and kept on investigating How the Titanic Sunk.

Create!
After all that investigating, our teacher gave us the task to create a boat with:Two straws, four popsicle sticks, two pieces of paper and masking tape. When the boats were built there was a catch. You had to make your masterpiece float with two metal spoons. If you're one floated you would get a lollie. And my one unfortunately had………SUNK! But it was a great effort.

Share!

i have shared a photo here on my blog but since i have many many posts here is the photo!

Writing!

             Introduction
On friday the 21st of November the year five’s went to the Art gallery. We hopped on the bus at an approximate time of
8:55 to travel to the city. When we got there first we had to sit down by the doors and then the guides had a little talk with us so we knew what we are doing.
             Session one!
Our first activity was the gallery tour. The gallery tour is when you look at a picture and you think what the painting is about. Our tour guide was Lynda. She was really fascinating how she spoke and what she did to make us understand the painting. After we had finished we had a little morning tea break then went of to our next session.

            Session Two!
Class 10’s next session was the “Studio”.
In the studio we did some art in a story jar. Story jars are paper cardboard jars. You draw things that happened in the past like, Christmas, Halloween, Birthday’s and many more. I did halloween. We drew with pencil and then outlined with vivid. Coloring in well...We used special water pencils and water paint. To be continued!

Symbols!

This is a symbol that represent my papa because he loves to go church and to be one of gods residents. He loves to be outdoors as well. He's a good papa and a wonderful one to.

In Extension we were given a task to buddy up and draw each other a symbol that means a lot to someone in your family. My partner Ava drew this for me! Cool right !

Writing!

My holiday was great but the first day of the holiday…… not my favourite. If you’re wondering why it was not my greatest day ever here is why. When you’re sitting in a bus for 11 hours and then hop on another bus for about 2 hours just to go to Masterton how would you feel?

The people that  were travelling with me to Masterton was my cousin,my brother and my nana. At masterton I was staying with my cousins, nanas and Aunty. It was a very tiring trip but we made it all the way.

What happened in Masterton!
In Masterton  we did a lot of things. Long story short we did swimming, cooking, playing and had fun with the family. It was a busy week, but at the same time it was fun and exciting to learn how they do things in Masterton.

Elections!

Mrs Telea made us do an election billboard to see what if feels like to be a canadent in the party.

Spot the difference!

1.We went to my uncles house, because it was my cousin’s birthday. He had a birthday cake and on it there were ten candles, he blew them out with a big puff! But they wouldn't blow out so my uncle started dancing and we thought he was being silly. So we went outside and played on the bouncy castle.

2.We went to my uncles house for my cousin’s special birthday, because he was turning ten!

He had a birthday cake and on it there were ten candles, he blew them out with a big, enormous puff!

But they wouldn't blow out so my uncle started dancing hilarious and we thought he was being silly to make us laugh.

So we went outside and played on the bouncy castle,in the hot boiling sun.

There is two paragraphs both the same. Try spot the one with detail in it and comment below. Is it One or Two.

Key competencies!

Introduction!
Have you ever heard of the key competencies? Thinking, managing self, participating and contributing, relating to others, using language symbols and texts? If you have, then I bet you are a super learner! However, if you haven’t, well I am here to explain exactly what they are.

Managing Self!
At school do you manage yourself? Well today I am here to explain what managing self means. For example managing self means showing the teacher respect and doing the right things independently. Another Example is managing your body. So lets say if you were angry at someone and you just wanted to punch them, the best thing you could do is calm down, control your body and walk away.

Participating and Contributing!
Participating and contributing means joining in,giving and doing your part like a play. For example if you are working in a group and your suppose share ideas then you should participate and contribute and give your ideas.

Thinking!
Thinking means  when you are using your brain to understand  a question or think of something to say.For example when you are on the mat and you want to  ask a question then you should stop think before you ask a question. Another example is when you get asked a question then I suppose you stop, think answer the question.

Conclusion!
This is the end of my explanation. Thank you for reading my writing. Bye.

Writing!!

Introduction

Use my brain use my heart I’m going to be cyber smart. Have you ever heard this phrase before? Well at Pt England School we use this to be cyber smart citizens.

Use my brain!
Using my brain online means always doing the right thing. For example when you’re friend is on the wrong thing and she tells you to do the same I would think before I do it. So I would Stop think and do.

Use My heart!
Your heart helps your brain make the right decisions.
For example when you feel happy then you can send a happy email or an online card to express your feelings. You dont want to hurt  people, you want to make people happy.

Being cyber smart!
We need to use our brain and our hearts to do the right thing. When you get a doggy email screenshot tell three teachers and send it to Mr Burt.

Commonwealth games dictoglos!

The Commonwealth games known as the friendly games has a unique place in sporting history. It is an international multi sport event like the Olympics, but the athletes are from commonwealth countries. This includes countries like England,New zealand and the pacific island.

The first Commonwealth games were held in  1930 Hamilton,Canada. Eleven countries sent four hundred athletes to take part in six sports and fifty nine events. Since then the games have been every four years. However in Nineteen forty two and Nineteen forty six the games were cancelled because of the second world war.

The event has had many changes, even its name.
From nineteen thirty to ninety fifty the games were known as the British empire games. Later , from ninety seventy to ninety seventy four they took the title off the british commonwealth games. Finally, at the the ninety seventy eight games in Edmonton,Canada this multi sport event changed its name to the Commonwealth games.

Strings of guitar!

Holiday highlight!!

In the holiday I went to the movies with my little brother and Aunty. The movie we watched was Transformers Four at Sylvia park cinema. Before going into the theater, I thought the movie was going to have many of new transformations, and a lot of action.

The movie was delightful, all the action, sadness, funny and happy.
It was kind of messy when we got out but It was okay. My favourite part is when Shane saved the heroic Auto bots.

It was an a contended theater experience but to long. We got in to the cinema at five forty and came out at eight forty. A three hour movie should be exhausting but I was jubilant and wanted to see more.

Boat!

It is special!

It is like the wind is the spirit hitting the sail.

So it can balance against the water.

It is a strong and special tree.

Squalls are a big gust of wind and the spirit of the wind can  blow the sail.

The wind struck them and papa told them to go onto the outrigger.

To turn around.

The boat will go side ways
